Red face The tenth dimension

Hi guys,
I just was listening to a flash presentation about 10 different dimensions which I sort of half understood.
The confusing 10 dimensions

Can any of you guys clear this up in plain simple english??

I'll try
Dimensions (First few aren't hard so I'll skip explanations on
them)
0. A dot
1. length
2. width
3. Depth

4. Time (A fourth dimension being would exist with every point in his time showing. But just like a 2nd dimensional being can only speculate what we look like, we can only speculate on the fourth.

5. This one tells us that time is branched out in many different paths that you could take. The quantum physics thing is explained with this:

A cat is sitting in a bag and there is no way to tell whether is it alive or dead. And we somehow set up a system that if the cat yawns it dies. Well, untill you open up the bag and observe the cat as either dead or alive, it's both. The cat is both dead anda live untill you open up the bag.

6.This is where my understanding slackens. I think this one is saying that a 6th dimensional being would have all of the branches of time that could have been played out existing at once. (Not so sure on this one)

7. The big bang and all the possible endings of the universe are crammed down into a point that represents infinity.

8. Different universes that our seperate from ours and have different rules and laws (gravity, speed of light, etc.)

9.traveling to the other universes require a fold through the ninth dimension (?)

10. All possible timelines of all possible universes represented with a single dot. This is where many believe string theory comes in. Supposedly, tiny vibrating strings exist in the tenth dimmension. I don't know much about sting theory so I won't try to explain it.

Did that help?

There are philosophers and scientists being payed bajillions of dollars to research this stuff, but when are we ever going to use it?

If one of these reasearchers figures out how to fold the dimensions we would no longer be bound by many of the laws of physics. For instance as we know it now teleportation is impossible due to the Uncertainty principle, if we could fold the 3rd dimension the position and monemtum of a partical wouldn't matter, think worm holes vs. common sci-fi teleporters. Also upon learning how to fold other dimensions things like time travel would be possible.

It's common knowledge by now that all humans came from chicken eggs, and chicken eggs just appear from nowhere.

As for the planets and what not, the chicken egg also explains everything.

That's right.
